Main Entry:
Upon entering through the front doorway, one stands within the large
open entry. With hard-wood floors and a polished oak banister wrapping its way
along the staircase towards the second story, it can be construed that this
building indeed reflects the southern style plantation for which it was
intended.
To the left lies the library, holding records and composites of KABL actives spanning over
eight decades.
Upstairs, one will find the chapter room, recreation room, and access to the second-story
active rooms attached to an open-outdoor balcony.
Straight ahead, past our House-Mother's quarters and active mailboxes, a door leads to the
backyard and the ground-floor active housing.
To the right lies our dining room, where composites of past years line the walls and where
private cooks serve three excellent meals a day. The dining room also opens up into the den area.
